Was wäre Social ohne Social? Nix!
Darum frag ich mal in die Runde, wer Lust hat WTF-it Blogger/in zu werden? Gesucht sind vor allem Blogger/innen, die Interesse daran haben über SEO Stuff, Social Networks und Internet zu schreiben. Dabei geht es nicht immer darum ernst zu sein.
Es macht ja auch Spaß, in Beiträgen über kurioses, schräges oder interessantes zu berichten. Wozu kann man z.B. Keyword Tools missbrauchen (Ich werde in einem kommenden Beitrag Spaß mit “Google Trends” haben). Was lässt sich lustiges mit den Social Network Funktionen anstellen? Neues vom kackenden Alien (Siehe “Crappy News Day“) – usw. usw.

Der aktuelle Hype heißt Social Networking. Ich habe bereits in einem früheren Beitrag die Frage gestellt “Bringt´s Social-Networking wirklich?“. Die Antwort hierauf bleibt für den Moment noch offen (genau so wie der Poll dazu).
Gut oder nicht, jeder Hype hat eine Macht, der man sich nicht entziehen kann. Wichtiger noch: Als Blogger steht man nicht über den Dingen, sondern ist nur Teil eines großen Stroms. Was liegt da näher als den Besuchern den Service zu bieten, einen Beitrag den sie mögen auch an ihre Lieblingsseite weiter zu leiten.

Problem:
Es gibt inzwischen Social-Networking Seiten wie Sand am Meer. Die meisten bieten Buttons an, die man ins eigene Blog einbauen kann. Also Code suchen, einbauen, testen, ändern, testen, verschieben, anpassen, nicht ganz glücklich damit sein, entnervt aufgeben.

Lösung:
Gott sei dank gibt es Plug-ins, die diese ganze Arbeit für einen machen. Eines davon, und meiner Meinung nach das beste, ist Social Bookmarks von Apostolos Dountsis.

Facts:

Wie bei allen Plug-ins für Wordpress wird auch hier der Ordner entpackt und in das Plug-in Verzeichnis gezogen. Danach muss man nur noch in Wordpress das Plug-in aktivieren und es läuft bereits.

Der letzte Schritt besteht nun darin, in Options->Social Bookmarks die gewünschten Einstellungen vorzunehmen.

Bild1: Social Bookmarks lässt sich wahlweise in der index.php, in den Einzelbeiträgen oder in den Einzelbeiträgen & Beitragsliste einblenden – falls man es nicht haben will, besteht noch die Option es gar nicht einzublenden.

Bild2: Scrollt man auf der gleichen Seite etwas tiefer, so kommt man zur Auswahl jener Seiten, die über dieses Plug erreichbar sind. Hier stehen ganze 26 Seiten zur Auswahl. Sollte wirklich der ein oder andere Dienst noch fehlen (yigg.de ist leider nicht dabei, vielleicht kann sich Yigg ja mal bei Dountsis melden), kann man den ja immer noch auf die herkömmliche Weise ins Blog einbauen. Aber 26 Seiten, das ist schon eine Menge abgenommener Arbeit.
